INFORMATION

Inspired by Ikimonogakari's smash hit song "YELL," Echoes of Kiriko depicts a heartwarming coming-of-age story about the bond between a teacher who imparts hope through music and her students.

Kyoka Suzuki, who plays the protagonist and music teacher Kiriko Harada, takes on the role of a conductor for the first time in her career. The cast of Kiriko's students features a lineup of rising young actors, including Taiyu Fujiwara, Manami Igashira, Momoko Tanabe, and Sho Nishigaki. Fujiwara, who is also active as a musical artist, performs the film's insert song.

Produced to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of Atsugi City, the movie was filmed entirely on location within the city. It also features cast members with deep ties to Atsugi, such as city natives Kyoko Koizumi and Ikue Sakakibara, as well as Yuko Natori, who spent her high school years there.

In their search for the now-missing Kiriko, her former students reflect on the past and the memories they made through music, allowing them to confront who they are today and take a new step forward.

STORY

Sho Kitamura, who works at a small music publishing company, is tasked with writing a special feature for Music Journal titled "Legendary Music Teachers."
The subject of his piece is Kiriko Harada, a teacher who secured numerous awards at national choir competitions and was dubbed the "Championship Maker."
However, she has since retired and vanished without a trace.

In reality, Kiriko was Sho's own mentor, the one who led him to a national victory back in his school days.
As Sho begins his research, he visits his alma mater to retrace her steps, but fails to find any solid clues.
In the process, he reunites with his former choir club classmates, and together they embark on a journey to track down the enigmatic Kiriko.

What is the true face of their former teacher, and what hidden truth among the students will gradually be brought to light...?
